Arrange an Event

On-Campus: How do I arrange a Science in a Tree event at our school?

1) Contact us to express interest in hosting Science in a Tree at your school:
  • Send an email to Dean or call him directly using the contact info to the right
  • If possible, include a picture of one or more trees we might use for the event
  • Give us an idea of what you have in mind including the # of kids / classes participating, grade levels, preferred science topics, and possible target dates
2) Arrange an on-campus meeting with the Science in a Tree team:
  • Guy and/or Dean will come to your school to meet with the teacher(s) involved, discuss the setup of the tree, and pick a location for the outdoor classroom
  • This is also a great time to talk in person about program details such as the timing of events, educational goals, program costs, and any safety concerns
3) Stay in touch with us:
  • Work with Dean to customize the program to fit with your ongoing curriculum and teaching goals
  • Please feel free to contact either of us anytime if you have questions about the program and what we can do to enhance your science curriculum
